This has been an awesome week for Birthdays For All. This week we received an amazing offer from a member of Coastal Community Church. She has generously offered to spearhead a “giving balloon tree” for the month of September birthdays!
There are over 42 birthdays in September and when I dropped the balloons off at the church this morning people were worried, not about finding volunteers, but about making sure those who had already called dibs on helping were able to get a child balloon before they were all gone! It is so inspiring to see this church community be so excited to help make sure all of the foster kids get birthday presents. We are so grateful for this and hopeful that other organizations and churches can help sponsor months of Birthdays in this way too.
This week we also received a donation from Amanda Jones at Real Estate Techs who is donating a percentage of every home sold to Birthdays For All, she truly is an amazing realtor and person. I am feeling so incredibly blessed to live in such an amazing place, filled with such amazing people. If you want your faith in humankind renewed come out to a BFA event, you will be sure to meet some truly amazing people.
